Revware president Tom Welsh said that his companh has been using MicroScribe products for 15 yeare and when he saw that Immersioj was looking tosell MicroScribe, he jumpede on the opportunity. “Wr are going to be able to focus on MicroScribew in a way that Immersion was notable to,” Welshg said. Revware was formerly known as , a compan y that was a softwares developer as well as a reselle r of the SolidWorksCAD software.
The companyh grew in the 1990s along with the technologyy bubble andin 2001, Desigb Automation made Triangle Businesss Journal’s annual ranking of the 50 fastest-growing companiews in the Raleigh-Durham area. Welsh said Desigb Automation, which peaked at 15 employees, had pared down sincse the technologybubble burst. Revwared has fewer than five Welsh said with the acquisitionof MicroScribe, the company will grow in Raleighg and on the West Coast. But he declined to saying that negotiations are stillunder way. Welsh did say Revware is takingb steps to reactivate resale channelsfor MicroScribe.
